The phaware® interview

PH patient Mack Lester has been on 10 liters of continuous oxygen for over 12 years. He’s a proud member of the PH Men’s PHight Club, who is in the process of awaiting a double lung transplant.

My name is Mack Lester. I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio and I’m a pulmonary hypertension patient.

It was discovered during a colonoscopy. They thought I was having a heart attack. In reality, it turned out to be pulmonary hypertension. That was in 2008. It took three days to perform the colonoscopy, and I got pulmonary hypertension out of the process, and [was] directed to a PH doctor, and she has taken great care of me.

I have tried sub Q Remodulin. I’ve tried IV Remodulin, and now we’re on oral medication to get the right mix in the program, and currently being evaluated for a double lung transplant.

My sister’s my caregiver, I guess you could say. She takes me everywhere I need to go that I don’t drive myself. I’m currently on, and have been on 10 liters of oxygen for 12 years, now, so, it’s a…
